A website someone is actually responsible for.

Every site we build comes with a care plan, for businesses across New Zealand and Australia. We host it, update it, back it up, fix what breaks and make the small changes you ask for, for as long as you want us to.

Why it matters

Most websites are at their best the week they launch. After that the software underneath them goes out of date, a plugin stops working, the content drifts, and two years later the site is slow, insecure and quietly embarrassing. Usually nobody decided to let that happen. It just wasn’t anyone’s job.

A care plan makes it someone’s job, in writing. That’s why one is on every proposal we send.

What’s covered

  • Hosting and monitoring

Fast managed hosting on a global edge network, SSL, and uptime and security monitoring around the clock. If the site goes down, we know before you do.

  • Updates and backups

Software and security updates applied and checked, and daily backups with a restore we’ve actually tested.

  • Changes and content

The small things you’d otherwise wait weeks for: new text, new images, a new team member, this month’s news. Higher plans add content updates and new pages.

  • A monthly report

Uptime, traffic, page speed and the work done that month, in plain language. It’s how you know the plan is earning its keep.

The plans

  • Hosting, $150/mo

Managed hosting, SSL, uptime and security monitoring, daily backups with a tested restore. The site stays online; nobody is working on it.

  • Care, $650/mo

Everything in Hosting, plus software and security updates, an hour of small changes a month, a monthly report and a three-business-day response.

  • Care+, $1,250/mo

Everything in Care, plus unlimited small changes, content updates (news, projects, team, case studies) and SEO hygiene, with a two-business-day response.

  • Managed, $2,500/mo

Everything in Care+, plus a quarterly improvement sprint, new landing pages for campaigns and a same or next-day response.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST. Paying annually takes 10% off. The pricing page compares the plans line by line.

Already have a site?

We only maintain sites we’ve built, because we can’t be accountable for code and hosting we don’t control. If your current site needs looking after, the honest answer is often a rebuild. Here’s what a rebuild costs. We move the content worth keeping and redirect every old URL so you don’t lose the rankings you’ve earned.

If you’re staying with your current provider, ask them four things: when the software was last updated, when a backup was last restored as a test, who is told if the site goes down, and what a small change costs and how long it takes. If nobody can answer, nobody is maintaining it.

For agencies

Care plans work under your brand too. When we build a site white-label for a design agency, we keep running it after launch: hosting, monitoring and the small-change queue, billed through you if you want the margin. You keep the client relationship and 10% of the care retainer, and your client never meets us.

Questions about maintenance.

How much does website maintenance cost in New Zealand?
Ours runs from NZ$150 a month for hosting and monitoring only, to NZ$650 a month for a maintained site with updates, small changes and a monthly report, and up to NZ$2,500 a month for a site that is actively improved every quarter. Paying annually takes 10% off.
Do you maintain websites you didn’t build?
No. We can only answer for speed, uptime and security on a site whose code and hosting we know, so the only sites we maintain are ours. If you have a site elsewhere, the path is a rebuild: we move the content worth keeping and redirect the old URLs so you keep your search rankings.
Do you look after websites in Australia?
Yes. A good share of the sites we maintain belong to Australian businesses. The hosting runs on a global edge network with locations in Australia and New Zealand. We bill in New Zealand dollars.
What counts as a small change?
Anything under about thirty minutes: changing text, swapping images, adding a team member, updating opening hours. Requests are batched and confirmed before we start. Unused time doesn’t roll over.
What isn’t included?
New pages beyond your plan, redesigns, new features and integrations, paid-ads management, and writing beyond your plan. Those are quoted in writing before any work starts.
