A website redesign that keeps what’s working.
Most sites that need redesigning are sites nobody looked after. We keep the content and the search rankings worth keeping, redirect every old address, and put a care plan behind the new site so it doesn’t happen again.
Signs it’s time
You wince sending the link
The site undersells the business, looks dated next to competitors, or still describes what you did five years ago.
Nobody can change it
Small edits need a developer, so they don’t happen, and the content drifts further from the truth every month.
It’s slow or out of date underneath
Old software with security holes, pages that crawl on a phone, plugins that stopped working and were never replaced.
What carries over
We map every page of the old site before the new one is designed, so the new structure accounts for the pages that already bring in traffic. We migrate the content worth keeping and tell you plainly what isn’t.
Every old URL is redirected to its new home on launch day, and we check Search Console afterwards for anything missed. Our website migration checklist sets out the whole process.
Then it stays current
A redesign without anyone responsible afterwards is just the start of the next one. Every proposal includes a care plan, so the new site gets updated, backed up and kept accurate.

Questions about website redesign.
- Will a redesign lose our Google rankings?
- Not if it is done properly. We map the old site before designing the new one, redirect every old URL on launch day and check Search Console afterwards.
- What happens to our existing content?
- We migrate what’s worth keeping and tell you plainly what isn’t. Old URLs are redirected so you don’t lose search rankings you’ve already earned.
- Can you redesign a site you didn’t build?
- Yes. That is what a redesign usually is. We rebuild it properly, and from then on it is a site we built, host and look after.
- How much does a website redesign cost?
- Builds start at NZ$20,000 to NZ$25,000 for up to ten pages, NZ$35,000 to NZ$45,000 for up to twenty with copywriting and a brand refresh, and from NZ$60,000 for larger projects. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST.
- How long does a redesign take?
- A Core Build typically takes six to eight weeks and a Growth Build ten to fourteen. The variable is almost always content and photography, not development.
